Success Keys

With New Year’s resolutions in full swing and most of them centered on getting fit, we present to you some of the keys to success.

First, it’s important to set goals, but set that goal in a S.M.A.R.T. manner.

  • S = Specific. Goals must be very specific such as “I will lose 5% body fat by March 31st,” NOT “I will get fit this year.”
  • M = Measurable. If you can’t measure your success, you won’t have that feeling of accomplishing the goal and you are sure to get frustrated and give up sooner.
  • A = Attainable. Sure, setting lofty goals is great, but it has to something that you can achieve or you will end up giving up.
  • R = Reasonable. This should go without saying, but if you set unrealistic expectations, you are setting yourself up to fail.
  • T = Timely. Set a time-limit that matches the difficulty of your goal. If you want to lose 5 lbs, this should not take you a year. If you want to lose 20 lbs, you cannot do this safely inside of a month.

Second, form a plan on how to accomplish that goal. If your goal is to read a dozen new books by the end of the year, then you might want to get a library card and set a smaller goal of finishing 1 new book a month. If your goal is to lose 20 lbs by June 1st, then set a plan on how to accomplish it. Will you join a gym? Hire a Personal Trainer? Buy exercise equipment? Train for a marathon? Learn martial arts? Practice yoga? Remember, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

Third, be accountable. Tell someone your goal and have them follow-up with you on a consistent basis. If your goal is fitness-oriented, find a workout buddy! Statistics show that people who work out alone have as low as a 43% success rate, opposed to those who work out with a partner have up to a 95% success rate. Can’t find a workout partner? Use a personal trainer.

Fourth, have a foundation. Support for your goal is as critical to your success as anything else. If you want to get fit, you will need nutritional support and guidance to make sure you are fueling your body with the right nutrients. If you are looking to lose weight, you will undoubtedly look to cut calories out of your diet. This is good, but be sure that you are not losing out on critical nutrients. Support your fitness goals with the Basic Foundation Program™.

A Basic Foundation Program™ provides a stable platform that will help keep you on the path to wellness. It consists of the Daily Essentials Multivitamin and the Rx Oils. Together, these two products not only provide the nutrients your body needs but can maximize your health. From providing energy to helping burn fat to lubricating joints and repair oxidative damage, this mighty duo is an essential part of your foundation to health. Daily Essentials Multivitamin/Mineral/Antioxidant complex along with the Rx Oils 3-6-9 blend provides the basic foundation for a healthy life not matter what your fitness level is. Daily Essentials Multivitamin is a broad-spectrum multivitamin/mineral/antioxidant supplement. Rich in nutrients, Daily Essentials Multivitamin is designed to help the body reach its maximum potential. The time-released feature assures that the water-soluble B Vitamins and Vitamin C will be delivered over a period of many hours. As a result, greater absorption of these nutrients can be achieved, and nutritional coverage will be available for a longer period of time throughout the day. Vitamins are necessary for proper growth, digestion, and nerve function. They enable the body to use carbohydrates, protein, and essential fats for energy and repair. Minerals serve as building blocks in cells and enzymes, and are the main components in bones and teeth. Antioxidants repair oxidative damage to the body caused by free radicals, and strengthen the immune system. Daily Essentials Multivitamin is available in different formulas for men and women. Rx Oils Flax is an omega 3, 6, 9 complex supplement that uses organic plant-based oils for its source of Omega 3. This eliminates the possibility for mercury contamination in your Omega complex supplement. With the use of plant-based omega sources in this formulation, Rx Oils is a great choice for vegetarians to bridge that essential fatty acid (EFA) gap that may exist because of food choices. Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) play a critical role in the workings of a healthy body. Why are they essential? Because the body must have them to survive, but cannot synthesize them.

So this New Year, set a S.M.A.R.T. goal, form a plan, be accountable, and have a foundation. Utilizing these keys will be sure to start you on the path to success!
